How does the game Work?

When you start an adventure, the paths you take, the encounters you have, and the items you find are randomly selected based on how far you are into the journey. After traveling a certain distance, you’ll meet a random gym leader. Their team will be selected based on their type, and as you advance further, both gym leaders and other trainers will use stronger and more challenging Pokémon.

If you can reach the champion and defeat them, you’ll complete the run!

Once you finish or fail a run, you’ll return to a central hub where you can buy permanent items and catch new starter Pokémon for the next adventure. As you progress further, you’ll unlock more buildings and NPCs in this hub to help you prepare for future runs.

How long does a run take?

The length of a run varies depending on how thorough you are. In testing, a complete run usually takes between 3-4 hours of in-game time. There is a quick save option (REST in the menu) that allows you to pause the game and return later. However, this doesn’t allow you to save scum.

• Friendship/Beauty evos are now just flat level 20 evos
• Battle engine has been sped up (Speed varys based on the importance of the encounter)
• Shiny rate has been drastically increased (Now is ~1/100)
