Steel no longer resists Dark and Ghost (Change made to emulate modern Pokémon)
Psychic now hits Steel for Super Effective Damage.
(Change made to make Psychic feel more impactful in the type chart, as well as nerfing the Steel type more. The logic behind this change is because metal bending is associated with Psychics and is represented in Pokémon by the Abra evolution line.)
Poison now both resists Water and hits it for Super Effective Damage.
(Change made to buff the Poison type and to nerf the Water type. Water only having two weaknesses has always felt a bit too little given what the type is, and Poison only hitting Grass for Super Effective Damage after Gen 1 and before Gen 6 felt a bit unfair. The logic behind this change is because dumping poisonous materials into a body of water effectively transforms the surrounding area into poison. The fish will die and people will be restricted from going in the water.)
Bug type moves are no longer resisted by Ghost types.
(Change made because I thought this was just being a bit too hard on the Bug type)
Ice now resists Ground and Dragon moves.
(Change made because in base Pokémon Ice is clearly meant to be a more offensive typing given its type effectiveness, but there are a lot of slow Ice types which have to rely on Ice defensively. But since Ice only resists itself, it’s unusable defensively. This change was made to remedy that issue.)
Rock now has a resistance to Electric.
(Change made to buff Rock types and nerf Electric types. The logic behind this change is because rocks that are not wet are usually really bad at conducting electricity.)
