Pokemon Reloaded Changelog
Version 1.6.2
- Fixed interaction with the NPC who gives you Cascade in the Mall.
- Fixed bug that occurred in the puzzle screen in Omega Ruins.
- Revised the movement of rocks through ice when using Force.
- Problems found with the Fire Z-Crystal.
- Random room change crashes.
- Updated Yveltal quest.
- Minor bugs.
Version 1.6.1
What’s New
- Added fights against Serena, Kalm and Alain on the Comet Islands. Once defeated, they can appear as rivals in the Front.
- Performance improvements.
- Yveltal is now catchable.
- Added another Paldea Pokémon: Kingambit.
- For years now, you can tell a trainer that you want to fight without items, so that rule will be set for the next fight. This can be useful for fights against Gym Leaders, as they sometimes abuse healing items. It can also be used against Elite Four members. In this version, what has been added is an option to tell the trainer that you want to fight “with items”, so that you can cancel the previous trick.
- One thing I’ve always found annoying about puzzles that require Strength to progress is that if you get distracted and put a rock where you shouldn’t, you have to start the cave over from scratch. For this version, the use of the external Strength ability has been improved and we’ll now have more versatility when moving rocks. Some might think that the tension and precision required to solve these puzzles is actually what makes them more fun. Using this upgrade is optional, of course.
- Many combat sprites have been improved, some of them with asymmetry.
Bugs fixed
- Fixed blocking issues that occurred during various in-game events, such as the Mewthree, Meteorological Institute, Giovanni, Celebi, Manaphy, and Johto League preview stories.
- Fixed bug in Mars Island Dojo.
- Fixed bugs in some Front events that were getting stuck.
Version 1.6
News and improvements
- New stories have been implemented in the Comet Islands.
- We will now be able to obtain four new Alola Petals, leaving the remaining two for future updates.
- The Legendary Pokémon Tapu Bulu, Xerneas, and Regieleki are now catchable. The remaining Pokémon that have yet to appear will be added in future versions.
- A ton of new Paldea Pokémon have been added to the game, and they’re all waiting to be caught. Specifically, Lechonk, Oinkologne, Tarountula, Spidops, Nymble, Lokix, Pawmi, Pawmo, Pawmot, Tandemaus, Maushold, Fidough, Dachsbun, Smoliv, Dolliv, Arboliva, Squawkabilly, Nacli, Naclstack, Garganacl, Charcadet, Armarouge, Ceruledge have been incorporated , Tadbulb, Bellibolt, Wattrel, Kilowattrel, Maschiff, Mabosstiff, Shroodle, Grafaiai, Bramblin, Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, Tinkaton, Wiglett, Wugtrio, Farigiraf and Dudunsparce.
- Alternate forms of all the Pokémon mentioned in the previous point have also been added.
- With this update, the Reloaded Pokédex reaches 1,005 species, not taking into account alternate forms. Not all of Paldea’s Pokémon are available yet, however, more will be added in future versions until we have them all!
- Some Generation 9 attacks have been implemented: Payback, Webtrap, Electropalm, Life’s Prayer, Double Laser, Colossal Hammer, Salting, Triple Dip, Proliferate, Armor Cannon, Wailing Sword, Decalcomania, Hyper Drill, Spring Cleanup, Leap, Spicy Extract, and Photocollision.
- Some Generation 9 skills have been implemented: Lingering Smell, Armor Tail, Wrathful Shell, Golden Body, Baked Body, Dynamo, Wind Power, Opportunist, Watchdog, Fungal Power, and Purifying Salt.
- New attack implemented: Hidden Force. This attack is exclusive to Reloaded. It is the physical attack equivalent to Hidden Power, meaning its type will change but will always be the same for each individual Pokémon, regardless of the Pokémon’s species or type. You can now purchase the DT for this attack in the Star League store.
- The way the External Ability Sweet Scent works has been slightly changed. Once activated, Sweet Scent will now remain active for a period of time, even after wild Pokémon appear or when you change location. Selecting the option again in the Ability menu will allow you to deactivate it. The advantage of using it, in addition to increasing the chance of encountering Pokémon, is that Pokémon will appear even when you are not moving. While it is active, it will also increase the chance of encountering hordes of wild Pokémon.
- Capture chains will now not be interrupted if a Shiny of another species appears. In addition, a capture streak counter will appear to facilitate the experience.
- Although this was already available in previous versions, I don’t know if I ever mentioned it. If we carry a Pokémon with the Honey item equipped, outside of the Poké Ball, the chances of finding Hordes increase even more.
- The Clear attack now also removes Fields.
- Added Multiplayer option directly to the start menu, so there is no need to start it from an existing game.
- Added the option to set the music volume in options. The reason this hasn’t been done before is because the development framework has limitations. In fact, this option won’t work with mp3 music or if you enable Windows 8 compatibility mode.
- In battle, Pokémon types were required to be hidden for certain difficulties, but now they can be activated in Options even when in Hard or Extreme mode. In Frontline battles, however, they will always remain hidden, since it is assumed that the challenger knows them.
- A person in Spica City will help us learn about the evolutionary status of some Pokémon, such as Pawmo, Basculin, or Primeape.
- Minor adjustments have been made to the start of the game. Players starting on Easy difficulty will no longer encounter enemies with advanced movesets until after the first gym. For all other difficulty levels, trainers will no longer be assigned special strategies before leaving Valde Town. In short, in Route 1 we will no longer encounter enemies with Pidgeys that know Toxic. This will happen starting with Route 4 on Easy or starting with Route 2 on all other difficulties.
- The first encounter with Helia only occurred once you had spoken to the Mayor of Sirius City. Now, this encounter will occur independently of that, meaning you will no longer be required to go through Route 10 again to progress the story, only for players who skip this encounter and go to Sirius City first.
- Added a new text speed in options that will allow you to scroll through texts ultra-fast. Its name is Instant and it is an option that is only recommended for those doing a speedrun. In any case, it should be used with caution so as not to miss out on interesting information.
- A code cleanup and refactoring has been done, in an attempt to speed up current and future developments. Some improvements have also been made, so this might also be noticeable in the game’s performance.
- The maximum number of Save Game Slots has been increased and this view has been optimized.
- Several combat sprites for some Pokémon have been improved, providing asymmetry to some that did not have it before.
- Added a new key item. This is a Drone that will allow us to explore the area for one minute. It will be very useful in the following stories of the Comet Islands, and you can get it in Antares City. For the moment it will not have any other functionality than exploration, but this may change in future versions.
- Added a new character called Syracuse, who is the deputy director of the Combat Faculty.
- Many pending texts have been translated into English. Not all of them are updated yet, as the project is still in progress.
Troubleshooting
This beta is more stable than the previous version, as a lot of bugs have been fixed. However, it is still a beta so there may still be some bugs pending. Please keep an eye out for any potential bugs to report them so they can be fixed.
Some of the bugs fixed are:
- When starting the game in this version some missions that were failing will be updated.
- There was a bug in Front Zone where if two or more enemy Pokémon fainted at the same time, some would not disappear, preventing quests from being completed. This should no longer occur.
- There was another bug in The Zone related to Substitute that caused the game to crash.
- Fixed the Tower bug that caused an opponent with Name -1 or something like that to appear.
- Due to a bug that was detected, the recording of blank discs has been revised. This process will work when the attack used by the Pokémon can be learned by it. An exception will be when the Transformation attack is used, in which case it will be taken into account whether the attack used is compatible with the Pokémon that our Pokémon has transformed into. Another exception will be attacks learned with Schematic, which can also be recorded.
- Zygarde’s quest will now be recorded as completed for players who finished it, as in the previous version there was an issue and it was not recorded correctly.
- Review of the missions of The Tower, The Zone and some others.
- In the Zone, collision between attacks and destructible elements has been fixed. It is true that some will need two hits, depending on the type or power of the attack, but in no case more than two.
- Due to a bug in the code, some eggs took longer to hatch than expected, while others took less time.
- Updated Front Hall of Records achievements.
Version 1.5
What’s New!
- The Paldea starters have been added to the game: Sprigatito, Floragato, Meowscarada, Fuecoco, Crocalor, Skeledirge, Quaxly, Quaxwell and Quaquaval.
- All three forms of Paldea’s Tauros have been added.
- Paldea’s Wooper form and its evolution, Clodsire, have been added.
- The Snowy Landscape attack and its learning have been implemented.
- The attacks Cold Water, Water Dance, Water Slash, Burning Song, Flower Trick, Axe Kick, Pathfinder, and Bull’s Fury have also been implemented.
- Rumination skill has been implemented.
- The new Snow climate has been added, which is slightly different from the existing Hail. Unlike in Generation 9, Hail is not removed, but both coexist in the same game.
- Some previously Hail climates in the Star region will now be Snow climates, such as Deneb City.
- New ability exclusive to Reloaded has been implemented: Hailstorm.
- The Snowfall ability has been changed and will now produce Snow weather, while the new Hailstorm ability will produce Hail weather.
- All Pokémon that had the Snowfall ability will now also be able to have Hailstorm as an alternative. You will notice that some of the Pokémon you have caught will keep their ability and others will change it. In any case, remember that there are items to change these abilities.
- The main difference between Hail and Snow is that with Hail, non-Ice Pokémon lose health, however with Snow, this characteristic is replaced by Ice Pokémon suffering less physical damage (50% less). Otherwise, they are very similar; in both, Blizzard will not fail, you can activate Aurora Shroud, etc.
- As you may know, the game is prepared to detect technical anomalies caused by a bug (or hacking tools), which is very useful to fix errors that are not visible to the naked eye. When an anomaly occurs, you should never save. The error message itself indicates this, but since there are users who do it anyway, from this version onwards, the game will not overwrite the backup files after the anomaly has occurred, so that the last good save is not overwritten.
- Updated attack names to the ninth generation, for example Frostbite is now called Frost Shard and Rush is now called Meteors.
- Added remaining Mega Stones in the Front Dome in exchange for Battle Points (BP).
- Added new DT820 Snowscape.
- Added new DT330 Fire Kick.
Bug fixes and improvements
Without a doubt, the task that has taken me the longest these past few weeks has been the review of the different types of attack learning for all Pokémon. Thousands of new possible combinations of movesets have been added that some have been waiting for for a long time. Even so, it is possible that some attacks may have escaped, so if you miss any attacks, do not hesitate to let us know.
- Review of learning levels for all Pokémon.
- Review of learnings by HM/TM of all Pokémon.
- Review of learning by movement tutor of all Pokémon.
- Review of learnings by DTs of all Pokémon.
- Review of all Pokémon’s Egg Move learnings.
Please note that the game includes a program that allows you to view all this data without having to see it in Reloaded. It is located in the “attack_pkmn” folder and has also been updated.
In addition to these improvements, many bugs have also been fixed:
- Improvements made to the Front Zone to reduce lag on less powerful computers. Please let me know if you notice any improvement.
- Fixed issue with out-of-square images of trainers with animation in the dialogue message.
- Some rivals were affected by the introduction of new characters in the last beta 1.4. This should be fixed with the update to this version.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the game to freeze in Front Tower. This should no longer occur.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes occurred with the Substitute attack when it was used by an enemy.
- Fixed the issue with Snorlax for users who had already spoken to the Elder before updating to beta 1.4. As I mentioned, I’m afraid that if you saved after the glitch, it can’t be fixed. You can try restoring your previous save, as described further down in this post.
- Fixed issue with Shiny Mega Evolutions being registered in the Pokédex.
- It is now possible to complete the Zygarde quest in the quest book.
- Revised Mew animations, there were (very rare) cases where the game would crash.
- Fixed moving coaches that sometimes appeared invisible when giving the phone number.
- In the Front Palace, if it is not the first time we participate in the event, they will no longer specify the items received one by one, but rather they will tell us “you have received several items.”
- Fixed issue with the Front Palace doors, which sometimes caused problems to enter.
- Updated some trainer dialogue in the Palace that appeared as “…”.
- Some attacks could not be learned by DT, but the same attack could be learned by MT.
- Improved DT learning calculation.
- When preparing a Z movement the music stopped.
- Arceus with the forbidden table had the fairy type instead of the unknown type.
- A Thousand Arrows did not affect Levitators and did not remove their ability.
- Drake Breath is now a Physical attack.
- Aerial Peak and Dunetemblor are now Special attacks.
- Updated the functionality of the Spectral March attack, which was not working as expected.
- Time inconsistencies or outdated beta: To fix this issue, please set the correct date and time on your PC before playing. To prevent this from happening again, you should always play with the correct time.
- Galarian Darmanitan’s Daruma Mode would sometimes change into its Unova form.
- Saved setups from Multiplayer cannot be loaded into the new version. Saved teams will be fine so don’t worry, but if you saved a setup I’m afraid you’ll have to manually re-set it in TLB 1.5 as it uses an older save game system and it’s now obsolete.
- Updated quality of some Pokémon shouts.
- Fixed possible game crashes in Reverse World and Unova stories.
- Fixed Pokédex issues with Dark Tyranitar, Slowbro, Basculin, and Basculegion.
- Minor fixes.
Backing up saved games
At the loading screen, we usually press the primary (left) mouse button to load our save. In The Last Beta, the option to press the secondary (right) button to restore a previous save was added. This can be useful in case of an error, but also, if you have accidentally saved instead of loading, you can also recover the previous save.
On the loading screen, by right-clicking on the Slot, you can exchange the backup save for the current one, and vice versa.
Sometimes the Windows file system can fail, especially when there is a power outage or the computer is abruptly disconnected. We cannot allow ourselves to lose our game that we have dedicated so many hours to due to an unexpected error. Although the game automatically backs up your saved games, it may not be enough. That is why I recommend that, from time to time, you compress the Games folder and leave it on a removable device, attached in an email or in the cloud.
