Story
Professor Elm, a well-known scientist, has been working on exciting new discoveries. One of these is about special stones that can help Pokemon reach a higher level. To explore this further, he asks his assistants, Ethan/Kris and [player], to help out. They each receive a Pokemon to assist in this task.
After [player] goes to fetch a package from Mr. Pokemon, a mysterious guy with red hair steals a Pokemon from the lab. Now, Ethan/Kris and [player], equipped with a Pokeedex from Professor Oak, will travel across the Johto region. Their goals are to complete the Pokedex and find out who the red-haired thief is and why he stole the Pokemon.
