Berry Mutations:
Berry mutations allow players to access damage-reducing berries, which are essential for tough battles or Nuzlocke challenges. There are 10 native types of berries found naturally: Aspear, Cheri, Chesto, Leppa, Lum, Oran, Pecha, Persim, Rawst, and Sitrus. Planting these trees next to each other has a chance of producing trees with extra damage-reducing berries. Check out the combinations below:
- Cheri + Rawst = Occa Berry (halves fire damage)
- Chesto + Aspear = Passho Berry (halves water damage)
- Oran + Cheri = Wacan Berry (halves electric damage)
- Chesto + Rawst = Rindo Berry (halves grass damage)
- Aspear + Persim = Yache Berry (halves ice damage)
- Sitrus + Leppa = Chople Berry (halves fighting damage)
- Pecha + Oran = Kebia Berry (halves poison damage)
- Sitrus + Pecha = Shuca Berry (halves ground damage)
- Lum + Rawst = Coba Berry (halves flying damage)
- Persim + Pecha = Payapa Berry (halves psychic damage)
- Leppa + Cheri = Tanga Berry (halves bug damage)
- Sitrus + Oran = Charti Berry (halves rock damage)
- Lum + Pecha = Kasib Berry (halves ghost damage)
- Aspear + Lum = Colbur Berry (halves dark damage)
- Cheri + Sitrus = Babiri Berry (halves steel damage)
Note: Normal, Dragon, and Fairy damage-halving berries (Chilan, Haban, and Roseli berries) cannot be obtained via mutations. Instead, they are rewards from the Berry Club after planting 20 trees (see rewards list above).
Berry Pests:
Berry trees have a 20% chance of encountering pests. Here’s a breakdown of pests by tree color:
- Red Trees: Bounsweet (40%) or Paras (60%)
- Blue Trees: Crabrawler
- Purple Trees: Skorupi
- Green Trees: Fomantis
- Yellow Trees: Pawmi (20%) or Cutiefly (80%)
- Pink Trees: Cherubi
This unique berry system adds depth to your Pokemon Lazarus experience, encouraging both strategy and exploration as you collect and plant berries, unlock rewards, and manage pest problems. Happy planting!
